Meeting 11th April noon Malcam Trust Rooms Jubilee Park

Usual new meeting time at noon, Saturday 11th April, bring lunch if you need it.

The main topic will be:

closing down for winter

and then general discussion about points members raise, as well as planning the last meeting(s) of the season.

We will then close down the club hives as the practical part of the meeting, and sort out the gear in the lockup.

Next club meeting Saturday 14 March 2015 12 noon Jubilee Park

The meeting will be at 45 Maori Road, and the speaker will be:

*Murray Rixon* who has developed Rentahive with his wife *Heidi*, and we have asked him (or them, preferably) to talk about the journey they have been on and ups and downs on the way.
He also does work for Bettabees and has a lot to tell us about that.

We will start the talk at 12 noon, and the session will be interactive and of no defined length (until he wears out).

Remember to bring your lunch, and bee suit / veil for the practical session at about 1:30, which will be taking down the club hives and setting them up for autumn / winter including varroa treatment.

And a good item of news is the Dave Hodson has accepted being co-opted on to the committee which has consisted of Brian Pilley (President), Brian Ellis (Treasurer), and me (Sec).

Next Club Meeting Saturday 14 February 2015 1:30 PM

Meeting at my place, 779 Portobello Road, Broad Bay, 9014  1:30 for 2 hours.

Extraction of honey from the Club hives at Jubilee Park and potting it up at 779 Portobello Road, we will bring some boxes along before hand.
Preparing for winter already
Re-queening
Varroa management

Turn into Maramoana Reserve at the foot of Harbour Cone, and take the right hand drive going up the hill back to Town – yellow and black balloons will help you.
Bring your bee suit or veil as we may open a few hives.
